In 2003, Ben Kaufman and his father, Louis Kaufman, a long-time broker and property manager opened Kaufman Realty. In 2004, at Ben’s behest, Kaufman Realty became GreenWorks Realty, the country’s first green focused real estate brokerage. GreenWorks Realty rapidly became the most productive green home brokerage in the country, spurred by technical knowledge of green home performance and passion for sustainable community. Ben established himself as an early leader in environmentally friendly real estate sales and marketing in the PNW.

Nicole grew up in Seattle also within the real estate industry, helping her father with his apartment maintenance business and sharing his love of architecture. After graduating from Western Washington University, health challenges led her to a holistic lifestyle and she searched for ways to help others find their health. She spent 4 years with a local massage clinic as Marketing and Projects Manager. Here she managed the expansion of the company from one clinic to four. The process of negotiating leases and location scouting renewed her interest in real estate and she became a licensed broker in 2015.

Ben and Nicole teamed up in 2017 to form Beneficial Ventures and join Compass Real Estate to enhance their ability to market and sell commercial, residential, land, and investment property.
